Finding the Courage to Change your Life *for the better*

How do you find the courage to do what you REALLY want to do?? How do you break out of your habitual patterns and create a really spectacular life??

People tell me that I’m lucky, or brave, or crazy. I went to Mexico and lived there for 8 months. Now I’m back with my parents *yay!* and it’s 100% in alignment with my desires. I returned to Canada and almost drowned from lack of community. Being in a house with my family is the closest I’ll get to the huge expansive and beautiful community I had in Sayulita. It’s in my highest good. Occasionally I hear voices of “you’re living with your parents AGAIN scoff” and I tell them.. Yes, I heard you, now go away. I’m happier, safer, and more expansive here than I was in Sylvan, and so that’s what matters to me.

It gives me a safe place to launch into my new life.

So how DO you find the courage to make major change in your life? Like moving cities, changing professions, re-aligning your business to your own highest good (again!).

Watching Alexander has been the hugest understanding i’ve had around this. He can’t move forward without enough points of reference. As long as he has a point of reference that makes sense to him, that he knows he can return to (aka mom, Oma, or some other family member). He can explore as far as he cares to go, knowing he always has a safe space to return to. He is free to explore, make mistakes, and try out different possibilities. I’ve watched him try on different families at the park, and different sets of friends.

As adults we are the same. We are unable to explore new possibilities unless we feel safe. What does your safety net look like?? How can it be strengthened??

Many of us find this in community, religion, a work place. I’ve been told some find it in shopping (not me! haha). Many other of my friends have chosen to exit the mainstream and find this safe space within themselves. A connection to the Divine, Source, Spirit, God. As you would call it. The safe space within ourselves. That allows us to know that we are safe, sacred and whole all in our own.

I met a man the other day who was living out of a backpack, and had that morning had his bag stolen. I was overwhelmed by his beautiful presence. He knew that with or without his bag, he was cared for. He was more secure in his own safety net, than 100’s of the other people milling around downtown in their suits and cars and Secure Jobs. He SO embodied for me, that Security and a feeling of safety comes from INSIDE of us.

How can your sense of SECURITY be strengthened so that it is EASY to find the courage to try new things?

Let’s find out!! One of my favorite tools that I’ve dug up recently goes like this.

On a scale of 1-10, (10 being out of this world phenomenal) How secure is your safety net?? How confident are you that you will always be cared for?

I encourage you to take the time right now to mentally answer this. Once you’ve chosen a number. I want you to answer. What am I doing RIGHT to get this number.

List as many things as you can think of, then read them over. 🙂 YAY YOU!

Now. What would you need to be doing to get to a 10??

This is your Dream List. These are the paths and principles you need to embody and create in your life to make all your dreams come true. To give yourself that safe space from which to explore and create new possibilities for yourself.

To truly create YOUR Awesome Life.

Until next time! With Courage, Love and Light!

Also, if you’re in the Calgary area, my friend Alaya (of EmbodyYourdDivinity.com) will be doing a live event Thusday August 2nd, 6pm,. We will be meeting at 108 Parkside Place SE and then going on an adventure from there (There will be abundance building, joy creation, dyad connection, and psycic practice!!)  It will be a blast, and to be remembered.  The event is totally non cost, though we always welcome people giving money to us just  because we’re so amazing haha..
